Telehealth Policy
I use Google Meet for online (telehealth) sessions. You do not need to give special consent for this. Google Meet is a separate company, and you can read their privacy policy here: Google Workspace Security Information.
1. Privacy
Your information is private and confidential.
I do not record sessions or share anything from our calls unless you give permission (except in situations covered by my Confidentiality Policy).
I will always hold sessions in a private location where no one else can hear.
You should also find a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable. If this is difficult, let me know, and I will respect your needs.
2. Minimizing Distractions
Please treat telehealth sessions like face-to-face sessions. This means:
No texting, gaming, or doing other activities (unless part of the session).
Try to be in a quiet space without interruptions.
3. Safety & Confidentiality
If I am concerned about your safety or someone else’s, I will follow the same confidentiality rules as in my Confidentiality Policy.
4. Internet & Data Use
Please check your internet connection before the session.
You are responsible for any data costs from the call.
I will do my best to have a stable internet connection, but I cannot control internet disruptions.
5. Connecting to Your Session
I will send you a Google Meet link the day before your session.
I will wait 10 minutes for you to join. If you have trouble connecting, I will message you.
If I cannot reach you after 15 minutes, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will need to pay the cancellation fee.
